Refund Policy

Effective date: 06/25/2026 Last updated: 06/25/2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for paid features provided by the Missouri River Valley Loop ("the LOOP," "we," "us," or "our") through https://morivervalleyloop.com (the "Site") β€” such as business listings and any paid experiences. It works together with our Terms of Service; where this policy and an individual order you approve (an "Order") conflict, the Order controls for that feature.

Most of the LOOP β€” browsing towns, businesses, events, maps, and free experiences β€” is available at no cost. This policy applies only to paid features.

If you have a billing question or want to request a refund, reach us through our contact page before disputing a charge so we can resolve it directly.

1. Business listings and participation

  • Listing or participation fees pay for a set period of inclusion in the LOOP and are non-refundable once the listing or promotion goes live, except as required by law or stated in your Order. [Confirm listing terms and any pro-ration before launch.]
  • If you cancel after paying but before your listing or promotion goes live, we will refund the amount paid, less any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred.

2. Paid experiences and passports

  • Where an experience or passport requires payment, you may request a refund before the experience begins; once you have started a paid experience it is non-refundable, except as required by law.
  • Rewards or prizes that are provided by participating businesses are subject to that business's terms.

3. Recurring features

  • Recurring fees (such as an ongoing listing or subscription) pay for a service period in advance and are non-refundable for the current period.
  • You may cancel a recurring feature with reasonable advance notice as described in your Order. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund the period already in progress.

4. How refunds are issued

  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card number or other card details.
  • We typically issue an approved refund within 1–2 business days. After we issue it, Stripe and your bank or card issuer process the funds, which usually takes another 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
  • We issue refunds in the original currency of the payment.

5. Errors and duplicate charges

If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged an incorrect amount, contact us and we will investigate and correct verified billing errors, including issuing a refund where appropriate.

6. Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact us first so we can resolve billing concerns directly. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may pause an active paid feature until the matter is resolved.

7. Required by law

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. The policy in effect at the time of your payment applies to that payment.
